This successful retailer is currently continuing to grow in a highly competitive trading environment. Due to expansion they are looking to recruit a commercially focussed Buyer to join their Entertainments buying team.
You will be a proven negotiator and have a flair for range development and supplier management. It is essential you have previous buying experience for a leading retailer and a proven track record of increasing sales and profit. Your experience may have been gained in any fast moving product category, ideally with exposure to a blue chip supply base.
The main areas of this role will include:
• Negotiating cost prices
• Strategy supplier relationship management
• Selecting a market leading product range
• Sourcing new suppliers
• Customer Insights
• Category strategy development
• Working closely with suppliers to develop new supply chain initiatives
• Management of budgets and sales targets
