Buyer – Meat

This well-known retailer is looking to strengthen its buying team with the appointment of an experienced Buyer / Purchasing Manager / Supply Chain Professional.

The main areas of this role will include:

• Negotiating cost prices

• Supplier relationship management

• Selecting a market leading range of meat products

• Sourcing meats for retail and to be used in the product manufacturing process (pies, cooked meats, sausage, pizza etc)

• Category strategy development

• Working closely with suppliers to develop new supply chain initiatives

Applications are welcomed from candidates with a thorough understanding of the meat supply chain and carcass utilisation process. Candidates with a broad background in meat manufacturing, supply chain, procurement and meat processing would be suitable.
