Our client an industry-leading retailer is currently looking for an experienced Buying Manager to join their head office team to manage their Sports & Leisure category. This includes product categories such as Sports Equipment [Golf, Football, Tennis & Cricket], Camping, Walking, Exercise Equipment and Sports Accessories.
It is essential you are a strong negotiator with excellent analytical skills and extensive product buying experience, ideally within Home and Leisure categories. You will be given autonomy to source and select product ranges whilst overseeing and mentoring junior team members. Analysis and development of current ranges will also be crucial to your success.
This is a hands-on buying role and therefore applicants with relevant buying experience with limited man-management exposure will be considered.
Applications are welcomed from candidates educated to degree level with experience gained within a head office environment for a leading retailer. It is likely you will be managing a category with annual sales in excess of £100m+.
