Assistant Buyer – Heavyside DIY

This is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career within the retail industry! This leading retailer is keen to strengthen its trading division by appointing an experienced and talented Assistant Buyer within their heavy duty products.

You will be a strong negotiator and have previous non-food buying experience gained for a large multiple retailer or Builders Merchant in any non-food category including plumbing, electrical, building, timber, cement etc

Applicants should have the following skills and attributes:

• Highly developed negotiation skills

• Excellent supplier management skills

• Strong commercial acumen – accountability for achieving and excelling company targets

• Strategic ability – responsible for setting budgets, achieving margins, category profitability etc

• Highly self-motivated individual

• Experience of own brand product development.

• Non Food Buying experience within a multi-site retail environment
