Our client is keen to strengthen its head office commercial team by appointing an experienced Alcohol Buyer. You will be a strong negotiator and have previous Beer, Wines & Spirits buying experience gained negotiating directly with branded FMCG manufacturers.
The main areas of this role will include; negotiating cost prices, evaluating the supplier base, building strong working relationships with suppliers, selecting a market leading product range and driving category growth via setting promotional strategies.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an excellent track record of achieving sales and margin growth and have a strong understanding of the Beer, Wines & Spirits sector.
Your experience will have been gained within the Retail, Wholesale or On-Trade sector for a large multi-site operator.
