To succeed in this role it is essential you are a proven negotiator and have extensive Chilled or Frozen Foods buying experience.

Key areas of the role will include:

• Negotiation of supplier trading terms to meet financial targets

• Identifying new product development opportunities

• Development of own label product ranges

• Competitor Analysis

• Continually sourcing new suppliers

• Setting promotional strategy

Applicants should have the following skills and attributes:

• Highly developed negotiation skills

• Educated to degree level

• Chilled Frozen buying experience gained for a leading retailer / wholesaler

• Excellent supplier management skills

• Excellent relationship building skills

• Strong commercial attitude and knowledge of food retailing

• Ability to work in a fast paced trading environment
