Our client is a leading retailer with numerous stores nationwide. They have a strong retail brand and are currently trading well and have further plans for expansion.

To succeed in this role it is essential you are a proven negotiator and have extensive Deli buying experience. E.g.Snacking, Party Foods,Cheese, Cooked Meats, Pate, Pies & Pastries, Yoghurts

Key areas of the role will include:

•Negotiation of supplier trading terms to meet financial targets

•Identifying new product development opportunities

•Development of own label product ranges

•Competitor Analysis

•Continually sourcing new suppliers

•Setting promotional strategy

Applicants should have the following skills and attributes:

•Highly developed negotiation skills

•Educated to degree level

•Chilled foods buying experience gained for a leading retailer/wholesaler

•Track record of negotiating with branded FMCG manufacturers

•Excellent supplier management skills

•Excellent relationship building skills

•Strong commercial attitude and knowledge of food retailing

•Ability to work in a fast paced trading environment
