This market leading business is looking to strengthen its head office team by appointing an experienced Buyer to manage their range of Fresh Produce e.g. fruit, vegetables, salads.
They are currently performing well in a challenging economic climate and can offer excellent career prospects for the successful applicant.
Key areas of this role will include:
• Direct sourcing of produce from Europe and across the Globe
• Negotiating cost prices
• Supplier relationship management
• Supply Chain Management
• Selecting a market leading product range
• Sourcing new suppliers
• Category strategy development
• Working closely with suppliers to develop new supply chain initiatives
It is essential you will be a strong negotiator and have previous fresh produce buying experience for a retailer, wholesaler, importer or foodservice / catering business.
