Buying Manager – Fresh Produce

This well-known retailer is looking to strengthen its trading team by appointing an experienced Buyer / Buying Manager to manage their range of Fresh Produce e.g. fruit, vegetables, salads.
The main areas of this role will include:
• Negotiating cost prices
• Supplier relationship management
• Selecting a market leading product range
• Sourcing new suppliers
• Customer Insights
• Category strategy development
• Working closely with suppliers to develop new supply chain initiatives
You will be a strong negotiator and have previous fresh produce buying or account management experience gained at a senior level for a large multiple retailer or for a specialist fresh produce supplier.
