- We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Online Category Manager in our client’s Digital department to join an innovative Online Trading team. We are looking for candidates who have considerable experience in trading within Ecommerce.
What will you be doing:
Trading
- Be responsible for the day to day trading of the website
- Be first point of contact for Trade related queries from the wider team and external business
- Support with planning and the delivery of the Online trading strategy
- Strive to achieve the Online KPI targets, constantly thinking of new ways to drive sales, conversion and profit
- Be responsible for developing and executing a promotional strategy for the UK (deals/offers/price points)
- Test/trial new strategies and propositions in our core market which can then be rolled out to other markets
- Manage the online retail calendar, being aware of the competition and key trading promotions and events to optimise
- Identify product opportunities and analyse shopping trends and behaviour
- Be the main contact for your assigned departments with the core B&M teams to optimise the brand through the Digital channel
- Work with the Marketing, CRM, production and design teams to drive sales performance
- Reports on sales, key metrics and promotions in daily, weekly and monthly trade meetings
- Uses website analytics to monitor KPI’s and make recommendations for improvement
- Quickly analyses trading patterns with sufficient level of detail to ensure appropriate action is taken
- Identifies promotional/marketing opportunities for the UK and evaluates the traffic, stock and sales implications of the proposed activity
- Builds and maintains a strong and varied network of contacts especially with Merchandising teams and across Brand Ecommerce functions
- Displays an in-depth, customer-focused knowledge of the online market
- Acts in pivotal role for teams and internal functions to co-ordinate projects and provide two-way communication
- Retains a strong market and customer focus in all activity, building a good understanding of Online competition and the Online customer
What we are looking for:
- Degree educated with minimum 2:1 classification, ideally in a numerical or scientific field
- Proven experience delivery a variety of B2C focused campaigns with a large degree of ownership and campaign management.
- Strong knowledge in SEO, PPC and display
- Strong analytical skills with experience of using and online
- analytics tool would be desirable (SQL, Tableau, Quicksilver)
- Experience in delivering campaign landing destinations, previous
- experience of working with digital teams, agency and in house side is also desirable
