This leading household name retailer is currently looking for an experienced Senior Online Trading Manager to join their expanding online team.
Managing the online trading team, it is essential you are a strong negotiator and have extensive Category Buying Management / Senior Digital Trading experience in an e-commerce environment of scale. Candidates with experience across any category area will be considered, however experience in managing the commercial performance of a fast paced retail team across an ecommerce channel is essential.
Key elements of the role include:
- Develop and implement the e-Commerce commercial trading strategy
- Lead the digital trading team to ensure KPI’s are achieved and sales targets are met
- Managing the promotional planning across all categories
- Range analysis to ensure the strongest possible product mix is achieved ensuring customer expectations are surpassed
- Liaising with key stakeholders within the wider business, utilising strong analysis skills and performance reporting
- Maximising return on investment giving the highest possible levels of customer service
- Complete P&L responsibility with accountability for achieving annual revenue and margin targets
- Managing the operations and performance of the digital trading team
Personal traits required:
- People development experience with P&L full experience in a similar e-Commerce trading environment is essential
- Strong leadership skills, capable of coaching and developing an ambitious team ensuring their development needs are met, alongside those of the business
- Results driven with the ability to thrive in a high pressured and fast paced retail trading environment with the ability to demonstrate significant achievement in a similar trading environment
- Commercially driven, experience in growing revenue and margin in a digital trading environment
- Entrepreneurial, always looking to spot the next opportunity to enhance the customer experience and increase revenues
- Customer obsession, ensuring all commercial decisions are made with the customer at the heart of the process
- Excellent communication skills are essential with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels cross functionally
This senior level role will manage other digital team members setting and developing range and business strategy. This is a senior management position and therefore it is essential applicants have man-management experience and a proven track record of successful category delivery in a fast paced high-pressure online trading environment.
