This leading household name retailer is currently looking for an experienced Senior Online Buying Manager to join their expanding team.
The role will initially be a fixed term contract with the potential for the role to become permanent in the longer term.
Managing the online trading of a key range, it is essential you are a strong negotiator and have extensive Category Buying Management / Senior Digital Trading experience in a retail / e-commerce environment of scale. Candidates with experience across any category area will be considered, however experience in managing the commercial performance of a fast paced retail category area is essential.
Key elements of the role include:
- Develop and implement the e-Commerce commercial trading strategy
- Ensure KPI’s are achieved and sales targets are met
- Managing the promotional planning across all categories
- Range analysis to ensure the strongest possible product mix is achieved ensuring customer expectations are surpassed
- Liaising with key stakeholders within the wider business, utilising strong analysis skills and performance reporting
- Maximising return on investment giving the highest possible levels of customer service
- Complete P&L responsibility with accountability for achieving annual revenue and margin targets
- Managing operational performance
Personal traits required:
- Full P&L experience in a similar retail trading environment is essential
- Strong leadership skills, capable of coaching and developing an ambitious team ensuring their development needs are met, alongside those of the business
- Results driven with the ability to thrive in a high pressured and fast paced retail trading environment with the ability to demonstrate significant achievement in a similar trading environment
- Commercially driven, experience in growing revenue and margin in a digital trading environment
- Entrepreneurial, always looking to spot the next opportunity to enhance the customer experience and increase revenues
- Customer obsession, ensuring all commercial decisions are made with the customer at the heart of the process
- Excellent communication skills are essential with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels cross functionally
