Senior Retail Buyer - Grocery

Leading retailer is keen to strengthen its head office team by appointing a Senior Buyer within their Grocery team.

You will be a strong negotiator and have previous food buying experience gained for a large multiple retailer in any food category including grocery, snacks, fresh, chilled, frozen, dairy, impulse, ambient, beers wines and spirits etc.

Applicants should have the following skills and attributes:

• Highly developed negotiation skills
• Senior level Food Buying experience within a multi-site retail environment
• Excellent supplier management skills
• Strong commercial acumen – accountability for achieving and excelling company targets
• Strategic ability – responsible for setting budgets, achieving margins, category profitability etc
• Highly self-motivated individual
• Strong academic background with a 2:1 or higher from a top 25 University.
