- A global leading retailer are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Fashion Buyer to help deliver their strategic plans. It is essential that you are fluent in German and have a passion for retail. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career by joining a globally recognised retailer.
Key responsibilities:- Strong understanding of customer needs, which can be harnessed to create an exceptional shopping experience
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiating when necessary
- Setting and delivering category strategy
- Conduct financial analysis of commercial opportunities to surpass targets and increase profitability
- Exceptional understanding of key market trends
- Continuously monitor competitor/industry performance and developments
- Create business plans for newly identified opportunities, incorporating key pricing and merchandising strategies
Essential skills and attributes:- A 2:1 Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Fluent in German and English
- Highly developed negotiation skills
- 5+ years’ experience in retail buying
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in a fashion environment is preferable
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
