Description

A market leading retailer is looking to appoint a Strategic Project Manager to their head office team. You will be responsible for optimising current supply chains and working on strategic problems with suppliers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Running strategic projects such as UK operational programmes or coordinating a process improvement project
  • Be a point of contact for supply chain related queries if support teams cannot assist suppliers
  • Work alongside category functions to contribute to overall strategies and play a part in supplier negotiations
  • Negotiate for specific products, such as acquiring further stock when an item has limited availability
  • Visit suppliers within the UK when necessary
  • Work alongside counterparts across the UK
  • Manage supplier operational performance and strategy, with how it directly effects the P&L

Key skills and attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain
  • Ability to use analysis tools such as SQL
  • Ability to influence stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • 5+ years in supply chain, inventory, operations or product management
  • MBA/MSc preferred
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic fast paced environment
