- Our client is a leading UK retailer who wants to appoint a Health and Beauty Buyer on an interim 12 month contract, this is an excellent opportunity to join a household name retail.
It is essential you are a strong negotiator and have extensive retail buying experience within the Health and Beauty industry e.g. Toiletries, Cosmetics, Fragrances, Healthcare, Haircare, Dental etc.
Key areas of the role will include:- P&L management of Health and Beauty category
- Negotiation of supplier trading terms to meet financial targets
- Building a market leading range incorporating branded and own label products
- Competitor Analysis
- Continually sourcing new suppliers
- Range management and category planning
- Category marketing / promotional planning
- Working cross functionally with other key business areas e.g. supply chain and technical
Highly developed negotiation skills
Buying experience gained within a fast paced multi-site / online retail environment
Buying experience gained within Health and Beauty categories
Excellent supplier management skills
Excellent relationship building skills
Strong commercial acumen
Accountability for achieving and excelling company targets
A highly self-motivated individual
