- Description
- This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-known retailer within their head office buying team. They have an outstanding market reputation for career development and are now looking to recruit strong retail buying managers with experience in Health & Beauty product areas.
It is essential you are a strong negotiator and have extensive retail buying experience gained within a fast moving commercial environment.
Key areas of the role will include:- Negotiation of supplier trading terms to meet financial targets
- Identifying emerging category trends
- Competitor Analysis
- Continually sourcing new suppliers
- Range management
- Category marketing / promotional planning
- Working cross functionally with other key business areas e.g. supply chain and technical
- Management of junior team members
Applicants should have the following skills and attributes:- Highly developed negotiation skills
- Buying experience gained for a top retailer
- Excellent supplier management skills
- Strong academic background, educated to degree level from a leading university
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Strong commercial acumen – accountability for achieving and excelling company targets
- A highly self-motivated individual
