Description
Our client is a leading retailer with stores nationwide and a reputation for outstanding customer service and value. They are currently looking to recruit a Head of Quality to join their HQ team.

Reporting directly to the board the main responsibilities of the role will be:

  • Setting the companywide Quality / Technical agenda and strategy
  • Leading the Quality / Technical team with significant direct and indirect reports both in the UK and overseas
  • Working closely with key internal stakeholders to develop best practice
  • Driving development of Own Brand ranges across all categories in conjunction with the Design team
  • Management of the supply base from a  Quality / Technical perspective, including supplier visits abroad
  • Working in-line with the company values and ethos to develop a culture of excellence

Applicants will need to have the following skills and attributes:

  • Educated to degree level with a strong academic background
  • Senior level experience for a leading large scale Retailer or Supplier in a Quality / Technical leadership role
  • Experience working with Retail Own Brand products across multiple categories
  • Excellent communication skills, able to build relationships at all levels
  • Excellent supplier management skills
  • Ability to deliver results in a fast paced head office environment
  • Experience working closely with board level colleagues
  • Accountability for achieving and excelling company targets
  • Demonstrable management experience, coaching and developing team members
