- Are you an Assistant Buyer, Category Executive OR Junior Category Manager looking for a position giving exposure to a wider section of a business? This is a fantastic opportunity to join this leading business in their trading team and be a part of their exciting expansion plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Analysis of the commercial performance of a range of products
- Range selection, pricing, promotional strategy
- Management of key trading relationships
- Market analysis
- Working cross functionally with other head office departments
Applicants should have the following skills and experience:- Highly developed negotiation skills
- Buying / Category Management experience within a retail / wholesale environment
- Previous experience within Foodservice or FMCG products
- Excellent supplier management/development skills
- Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Strong commercial acumen – able to drive sales / margin
