- This leading global retailer is keen to strengthen its trading team by appointing a Senior Propositions Manager. You will be a strong negotiator and have an excellent track record of sales and profit growth. Managing key supplier relationships you will source the best deals via driving down cost prices and selecting an industry leading product offering.
Key Accountabilities:- To deliver or exceed budgeted margin, sales and profit targets
- Supplier relationship management
- Creation and delivery of category strategy
- To deliver products and develop the range to meet the needs of the customer
- Undertake range reviews to maximise performance
- Promotional planning
- Space planning
- Customer Insights
- Pricing
- Building partnerships and cross functional working
- Team Leadership
Skills/Knowledge Required:- Senior Propositions experience gained for a leading business, managing a £100m+ category.
- Articulate, persuasive negotiator with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Enjoys working in a fast paced commercial trading environment
- Able to handle a pressurised working environment
- Commercially aware, educated to degree level with strong intellectual, analytical and numerical skills
- Ability to coach and manage team members
