This leading retailer is keen to strengthen its commercial division by appointing a talented Assistant Buyer.
You will be a strong negotiator and have previous retail or FMCG buying experience gained for a large multiple retailer. Candidates with experience in any food or non-food category including Grocery, Fresh, Alcohol, Home & Leisure, Electrical, Toiletries, Health and Beauty, Baby, Cleaning, Household, Kitchen, Laundry and Pet Care etc.
Applicants should have the following skills and attributes:- Highly developed negotiation skills
- Retail / FMCG Buying or Sourcing experience
- Excellent supplier management skills
- Strong commercial acumen – accountability for achieving and excelling company targets
- Strategic ability – responsible for setting budgets, achieving margins, category profitability etc
- Highly self-motivated individual
