- Offering a best in class outsourced procurement function, our client provide organisations with catering buying consultancy offering significant cost savings.
The Role
This leading foodservice procurement consultancy is seeking a business development professional to prospect and develop new relationships with organisations that provide catering solutions and have significant annual catering spend.
Example clients include Universities, Multi-Site Restaurants, Colleges, NHS Trusts, Hotels, Care Homes etc.
Key elements of the role include:- Identifying and prospecting target businesses operating within the foodservice and catering sector
- Organisational mapping – understanding who the key decision makers are within target organisations
- Making contact with decision makers to introduce the business and give clear understanding of services offered
- Fact finding – understanding customer needs and demonstrating how services can be tailored to meet each client’s individual needs
- In conjunction with relevant internal teams, develop a sales and proposition plan aligned with the client needs
- Offering solutions that demonstrate a value for money offer, efficiency, quality and improved customer experience
- Manage new accounts from initial concept through establishing, developing the enhancing the relationship through the first year of client delivery ensuring quality standards are achieved.
The Person
You will have a proven track record in senior level new business development within the food or catering industries. With a background in delivering new business accounts, you will have passion and enthusiasm for the food industry and a desire to achieve and surpass sales and service level targets.

- Ability to build wide and effective networks of contacts
- Comfortable and confident dealing with Director level clients and internal stakeholders

- Ability to work to tight deadlines and communicate effectively both internally and externally
