- Our client are a leading provider of market research and insight analysis, who operate at the centre of the food and consumer goods industry. They are looking to appoint a commercially-minded and driven Data Analyst to their growing team.You will have a passion for data and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high quality insight and forecasting
- Identify opportunities to develop and improve customer insight to stay on top of competitors.
- Following key market trends
- Developing and maintaining industry contacts.
- Tracking key economic issues, monitoring the key implications for retailers and manufacturers.
- Working cross functionally with commercial teams
- Manage the ongoing development of the businesses models and methodologies
- Maintaining food and grocery industry knowledge.
- Provide critical insight and discussion on global economic issues
Required Experience/Skills:- Strong academic background, educated to degree level in Economics
- Experience in building Macro-economic models
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a polished professional approach
- Previous experience within the FMCG or retail sector
- Passion for the food and grocery industry
- Experience in using Business Intelligence Platforms: Microsoft Power BI and Tableau.
- Comfortable networking with senior individuals including board level
- Experience in using coding languages: Python, SQL and R.
