Description

This household name retailer is looking to strengthen its head office marketing team through the appointment of a high performing Press Officer.

This key position will be pivotal in the creation of positive press coverage driving brand awareness and commercial success.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Managing day to day media relations building strong relationships
  • Managing the product placement strategy ensuring the extensive product ranges are featured across traditional, online and social media
  • Identifying and capitalising on media opportunities
  • Dealing with any enquiries from journalists
  • Developing relationships with journalists across target media to ensure maximum positive exposure
  • Writing content and media materials including press releases, quotes and statements

Working with a broad media platform, including trade, consumer and national press you will be responsible for generating positive coverage ensuring the business capitalises on media interest.

You will have a strong Press Management / PR experience within the Retail or FMCG sector within a PR agency or working directly for a retailer with experience implementing PR strategies.

In addition you will need to have strong media relations experience at a local, regional and national level.
