- This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-known business. They have achieved strong sales results over the last 12 months and offer excellent training and progression opportunities. It is essential you are a strong negotiator and have extensive buying experience within Food or FMCG.
Key areas of the role will include:- Negotiation of supplier trading terms to meet financial targets
- Competitor analysis
- Continually sourcing new suppliers
- Working cross functionally with other key business areas e.g. supply chain and technical
Applicants should have the following skills and attributes:- Highly developed negotiation skills
- Confectionary or FMCG buying experience gained within a retail head office environment
- Excellent supplier management skills
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Strong commercial acumen
- A highly self-motivated individual
- An excellent knowledge of the Confectionary/FMCG sector
