Description
Our client is a global food business with a household name and has been a national presence for years. They are growing at the moment, and have an opportunity within their grocery team for a Buyer to manage the chilled category.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious buying professional to accelerate their career progression in a unique and rewarding environment. You will:

  • Lead negotiations with multinational suppliers
  • Identifying commercial opportunities (e.g. new products, promotions…)
  • Managing internal and external business relationships

The ideal candidate will have experience working for a multi-site retailer or wholesaler in an FMCG buying role. It is likely you will:

  • Have experience buying chilled, fresh, frozen, BWS or non food FMCG products (e.g. toiletries)
  • Have advanced negotiation skills
  • Be able to build strong relationships and deliver win-win solutions
  • Have excellent commercial awareness and business judgement
